There was a time when Deepak Balraj Vij made realistic films like HAFTA BANDH, BOMB BLAST, STUNTMAN and HAFTA VASULI. Then, more recently, he made SAIBABA. However, the film did not get the expected response at the box-office. Now Vij has decided to get back to what he specializes in -- realistic films. He is all set to start BOMBAY GODFATHER, which was held back due to SAIBABA.
BOMBAY GODFATHER tells the story of a common man who is made a target of criminals. To give the film a realistic look, Vij has started meeting police officials, including encounter specialists, besides visiting jails and meeting thieves, criminals and goons. Rajesh Roshan will score the music for the film. Vij is also planning to rope in a senior actor to play the title role. He's planning to approach Amitabh Bachchan for the main role.
