I’ve grown a lot as an actor-Esha

Uninhibited, sassy and assertive Esha's phase II is a whiff of fresh air. Soon after playing a suave wildlife photographer in Kaal she plays a lost and confused girl in Main Aisa Hi Hoonmore from the lady herself in this one on one.

Lets speak about Main Aisa Hi Hoon and your role in the film?
Main Aisa Hi Hoon is a very simple, very emotional film. I would like to tell people to watch it with their heart instead of their brains. My role is of a girl called Maya who is a very mysterious character, you feel that you know her and then suddenly you don't know her at all. She herself doesn't know what she is going to do in future. She is into hippie culture, in search of spiritualism; she is little into the wilder side.

There is a hint of Bohemianism in you character, who thought of this?
It was in the script that this girl is a bohemian kind of a girl. Because the background that was given to me about this girl was that she is not happy with her father, she doesn't have a mother, she has left her father's home in search of spirituality, so she's into the flower power culture.

You've worked with Ajay before, how was the experience this time?
My experiences working with Ajay have always been nice, when I give a shot with him in front of the camera I don't have to act I just let myself be, because he is such a great actor that I only have to react to what he does.

Harry Baweja is a seasoned filmmaker, how do you think he has handled this film?
The whole film was shot in 35 days in Shimla at a stretch it is a very simply shot film but the cameraman Bose has done a very good job. It is a very beautifully shot film; Harry knew exactly what he wanted me to do in every scene, which made life simpler for me. I feel the film has shaped up well because it is very much like I heard in the script.

What do you think of the music of the film?
The songs in this film are awesome and my favourite is my solo song called 'Teri Galiyon Se'.

What is so special about this role?
It's a very different role, it is very bold, very youth oriented role and a lot of people will identify with it. Of late this hippie culture seems to have comeback so people will identify with it.

Ajay and your chemistry has worked quite well in Yuva, do you think it will work the same in future?
I hope so. Because this is a very unique chemistry we get to see onscreen, there is an age difference between us. People feel I am a young girl and he is more mature, more of a man. So people get to see this girl-man chemistry and maybe it looks strange but nice at the same time.

Since Koi Mere Dil Se Pooche to this date how much have you grown as an actor?
I've grown a lot as an actor, we learn everyday. Not just me but every actor when goes to the sets in the morning learns something new when they go back home.
