India Talkies has tied up with Bombay Dyeing to launch a line of bedspreads, with pictures of the leading Mumbai stars printed on them. Set up by Wizcraft in association with filmstars like Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Govinda, Mahima Chowdhury and Sanjay Dutt, India Talkies was initially conceived as a chain of theme restaurants along the lines of Planet Hollywood.
With Planet Hollywood not really doing well, India Talkies never really took off into restaurants. India Talkies is diversifying into bed linen even before its chain of restaurants can get underway.
