Ekta Kapoor in legal tussle with advocate Rizwan Siddique : Bollywood News

Ekta Kapoor seems to be controversy's favourite child. The head honcho of Balaji finds herself in a fresh legal tussle after advocate Rizwan Siddique filed a complaint in the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate Court, alleging non-payment of his professional charges amounting to Rs. 30000 on services rendered on certain agreements for Balaji Motion Pictures' film, Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai. Even though the complaint was filed way back in 2010, Ekta moved the Bombay High Court (HC) for quashing the case.

Siddique claimed that despite repeated attempts on his part to follow-up with the company for recovery of his pending dues, he was given a cold shoulder. After issuing a legal notice and filing a complaint in the Court, he got a response from Balaji saying that the amount was unpaid due to an oversight on their part. However, he refuses to believe such a reason.

As things stand today, the Court has granted a stay on the proceedings and the matter would now be heard on October 31.
