Ripples Entertainment ties up with Popcorn Entertainment:

Ripples Entertainment, the producers of Yeh Tera Ghar Yeh Mera Ghar and Roshni, have diversified into events, exhibition and distribution by tying up with Popcorn Entertainment, the company floated by Sunil Shetty and his associates. Under the brand name of Ripples Popcorn, this tie-up will conceive and execute top-of-the-line events in India and abroad. A minimum of twenty such events have been lined up this year. Besides events, Ripples Popcorn will also take over certain cinemas and uniquely revamp the interiors to give an entirely novel dimension to the cinema-going experience. To further consolidate this strong business bond, Ripples Popcorn Entertainment has decided to produce films too. Three leading directors have been signed, the rights of remaking five Tamil blockbusters have been acquired and three top heroes have already been confirmed. E. Nivas will direct the first project, which will go on floors with a start-to-finish schedule. The film will star Sunil Shetty along with another hero and a leading heroine. This movie will be filmed in one straight schedule from May 1 to June 5 on a series of sets to be erected in Goa. The second project will star two top heroes and will be launched in January 2002. Both these films will be made in association with Satyajeet Movies, of which Mahesh Manjrekar is an integral part. According to Sunil Shetty and Vikram Razdan (Ripples), the strategy is to produce three films every eighteen months, besides one international film.
