South Africa's ruling African National Congress has threatened to ban Hrithik's films in the country following the circulation of his poster along with a prominent South African weekly newspaper on the eve of the local government's elections, asking people to vote for the Democratic Alliance, the opposition party. The newspaper tendered an apology when Rakesh Roshan wrote to them mentioning that Hrithik was not endorsing any political party. The African National Congress has warned that if the matter is not sorted out soon, it will be forced to take a drastic action. Meanwhile, UNI has reported that doctored video cassettes of the alleged controversial interview of Hrithik with the MTV are being circulated in Nepal to create a fresh controversy. The cassettes are in the possession of Madan Ragmi, a known anti-India columnist.
