Vinta Nanda's offbeat film White Noise was premiered at the Kara Film Festival. And the response it received at the event was tremendous. The show was sold out with a 450 plus audience. Half way through the screening the projector caught fire and the air cons collapsed. It took around 45 minutes to restart the film. But such was the spellbinding effect of the film on the audience that nobody wanted to leave the show halfway. Not a soul moved from their seats in spite of the delay and sweltering heat and watched the film till the end. Even at the question-answer session that followed after the screening, the decision of the audience was unanimous and apparently White Noise was loved by all. Some even called it a new kind of cinema for India.
