Sanju wants an ‘Item Bomb’

Bunty Walia of G.S. Entertainments is getting busier by the hour!

Besides organising, executing, scripting and directing events including the ‘Marco Ricci Each One Reach One Benefit Concert’ held last weekend the multi-faceted personality is all geared up to start three films. But more on that later!

The ‘Marco Ricci Each One Reach One Benefit Concert’ was executed with flourish by Bunty and brother Jassi and the reactions that poured in after the show were overwhelming. We’d been planning the show right from August, Bunty states, Sanju, Rhea, myself, everyone contributed enormously in making this show a success.

It must’ve been tough to handle a show of this magnitude, more so now since partner Sohail Khan and Bunty have parted ways and Bunty runs G.S. single-handedly. From the very outset, Sohail and I had this understanding that he would look into films, while I would concentrate on shows. I’ve had enough experience in the past, so handling a show today is cakewalk, he says.

He continues, But I was touched by Salman and Sohail’s gesture to be a part of the ‘Marco Ricci Each One Reach One Benefit Concert’. Their presence on the occasion speaks volumes of the kind of people they are. They’ll always be close to my heart.

That ends all speculation about the so-called bitter rift between Sohail and Bunty, being spread by vested elements.

On the film front, Bunty is all geared up to start three films. The first, titled UMEED, is inspired by the Malta boat tragedy. The second venture, titled JUST PUNJABI, will star Sanjay Dutt as the protagonist and will be directed by Apoorva Lakhia. It tells the story of a cop who travels all the way from India to Canada and his experiences on the foreign soil, Bunty divulges.

He elaborates, We’re working on the script of JUST PUNJABI at the moment. Besides Sanju and Apoorva, no one else has been signed yet. Incidentally, the decision to hand over the directorial reins to Apoorva was initiated much before Apoorva’s directorial debut MUMBAI SE AAYA MERA DOST hit the theatres.

The third project, divulges Bunty, will be an English film.
