A four in one experience

Indian audiences will get to experience a one-of-its-kind experimental cinema never ever attempted before on the Bollywood screen. Windows – The Quadrants of Time is the latest addition to experimental wave in Indian cinema, which is to be directed by New York based Manan Singh Kathora and is being co-written by Abhishek Kumar and Sameer Jain. The unique aspect of the film is that the screen will be divided into four parts and the viewer can watch four different movies playing continuously and simultaneously in each quadrant of the screen. The film will comprise of four parallel stories independent of each other, which will merge into a single climax. The idea originated from a Hollywood flick Time Code directed by Mike Figgis, which was shot in a similar format. For the lead female lead, Manan has signed Vineesha Arora, the girl who went unnoticed in her acting debut in Padam Kumar’s Supari opposite Rahul Dev. Windows is a low budget, real-time thriller, set in Mumbai. Vineesha plays a young, blind software engineer, who is the focal point of all the events taking place in this 75-minute, song-less thriller. Apart from the female lead, the makers have also signed Amit Sarin (who’s currently featuring in the popular Balaji TV serial, Kkusum) to play one of the four male characters. Interestingly Vineesha hasn’t met Manan as yet and their entire communication has been through the net.
