Raman Raghav 2.0 was expected to collect but with the first week of Rs. 6 crore*, it has turned out to be a commercial disappointment from Anurag Kashyap and Co. These numbers were expected in the first two days of the film’s arrival in theatres, not 7 days.
Junooniyat has found no takers whatsoever and turned out to be a very poor show. With a mere Rs. 3.25 crore* coming in and the lifetime total of under Rs. 4 crore on the anvil, the film would fold up lesser than what Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam‘s last release Sanam Re collected on its Day One [Rs. 5.04 crore]. 7 Hours To Go too has folded up under Rs. 2 crore*. That is just a little more than what the film’s director Saurabh Verma’s last release Mickey Virus had collected on its Day One [Rs. 1.35 crore].
Collections of A Scandall and Dil Toh Deewana Hai have been negligible and they are hardly in the running in second week. Rough Book is seeing a platform arrival and would continue to play in select screens across the country.
Hollywood release Independence Day: Resurgence, after showing some promise on the first couple of days, has turned out to be a damp squib. With a Week One of Rs. 24.10 crore, the film has collected as much in 7 days as what was expected from it in the first 3 days. The film would get an extended run of 5 more days till Sultan arrives.
Udta Punjab lost steam from its fifth day onwards. The film has collected around Rs. 57.52 crore so far and may just about hit Rs. 60 crore before the end of its run.
