Indo-Australian co-production:

Rumour : The last time we spoke to you, you had informed us that you were planning to start two medium-budget films with newcomers, which would be made in a start-to-finish schedule. We’re now told that both the films are being planned as Indo-Australian co-productions and will be extensively shot in Australia, with a mix of Australian and Indian actors. Also, could you tell us what’s the latest on JADH and when is it scheduled for release? Shantanu Sheorey : Coming to your first question, there’s been a slight change in plans. I’ve decided to shift to Australia and operate from there. Actually, I’ve got offers to direct Australian films, which may or may not be made with an Indian and Australian cast. The production companies based in Australia are keen that I go ahead with their first venture, for which we’ve signed the best of technicians. Currently, they are weighing the pros and cons of going ahead with an Indian-Australian cast or an all-international cast. The Indian film market is going through a depression with the failure of so many films at the box-office and this decision has come at the right time. In fact, I have put all other production work on hold for the moment. As for JADH, I am planning to shoot the remainder of the film from there since it seems more viable. The film will definitely see a release in the next few months, though it will have to wait for sometime, before the market settles down.
