We bumped into director Ashok Gaekwad at a producer's office and the first question that came to our mind was whether he had abandoned the Sunil Shetty-Shatrughan Sinha-Raveena Tandon starrer KARAMPATH, which he had started more than five years ago. There had been no news about the film for some time, though we had last heard that it was 60% complete. We were also curious to know from Gaekwad whether the film had been held up because Sunil Shetty had lost interest in it. "Firstly, let me clarify that the film has not been shelved," Gaekwad discloses, adding that Sunil was in no way responsible for the delay of the film, "On the contrary, Sunil keeps asking me when I intend resuming the shooting of the film." According to Gaekwad, the project has been held up due to financial problems. In the meantime, Gaekwad is now planning to start another project with Sunil Shetty. Gaekwad admits that he recently narrated the script of the film to Sunil, who immediately agreed to do the film. Besides this project, Gaekwad reveals that he also has the confirmation from Sanjay Dutt for another film (Dutt had worked with Gaekwad in SARPHIRA). There are also rumours that producer Salim Akhtar and Ashok Gaekwad are once again planning to join hands and make films together. Let's wait and watch!
