Raaz Reboot had a fair weekend at the Box Office as it netted Rs. 18.09 crore at the Box Office. It started at Rs. 6.3 crore on Friday and from that point on the collections pretty much followed the expected route. Since the film is doing better at the single screens (on a relative note), the collections aren't quite the true reflections of the footfalls (due to much lower ticket prices).
What could go in favor of the film are some controlled economics coming into play, which stand as below:
Making + P&A - Rs. 30 crore
Theatrical rights (India and overseas) sold to Vashu Bhagnani - Rs. 20 crore
Music + satellite + digital - Rs. 17 crore
As is apparent, the makers have already made a profit and for the distributors, recovery of Rs. 20 crore should be possible if the Week One collections come somewhat close to Rs. 30 crore. Since the film is catering primarily to the single screen audiences, many theaters can be expected to retain the Emraan Hashmi, Gaurav Arora, Kriti Kharbanda starrer in the second week too.
Yes, as a franchise, one expected a lot more from Raaz Reboot, especially since Raaz 3 was a very big hit and a huge grosser. However, considering the fact that even Bhatts have announced curtains on the franchise, it would be just right for fourth in the series to make a respectable exit with decent figures to show.
