The buzz for the Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has been growing among the cinegoers. Right from its unusual title to the chemistry between the two actors to the catchy songs, the Luv Ranjan film is making heads turn. And now it has come to light that the film’s advance booking has taken a decent start.
According to reports, PVR, Inox and Cinepolis, three of the biggest multiplex chains in India, have sold 4,500, 1,800 and 1,200 tickets respectively for the first day of the film on Wednesday March 8. This brings the total number to 7,500. One should take note that this data doesn’t include the number of tickets sold on the days following March 8.
Just a couple of days back, we had reported the runtime of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. The Ranbir and Shraddha starrer is 159 minutes long, which comes down to 2 hours and 39 minutes.
With Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Shraddha will be returning to the big screen after three years. Her last release Baaghi 3, which starred Tiger Shroff in the titular role, was released just before the COVID-19 pandemic started spreading its wings in India in March 2020. When the actress was asked about her return after three years in a recent interview, she said, “I am feeling nervous and excited. I feel like mera debut ho raha hai (laughs)! My fingers and toes both are crossed. I hope people like the film and my work.”
