Ranbir Kapoor certainly has cause to celebrate this year, after receiving positive feedback from his performance in the previous release Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, his recent release Animal has been rocking the box office. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga the film which opened on a thunderous note, has continued its box office march with collections flowing in. Now after nearly a week at the box office, Animal which has been doing equally well in the overseas markets has fast emerged as one of the highest grossers at the worldwide box office in 2023.

However, thanks to the audiences’ acceptance of Animal, Ranbir has managed to position higher on the list as compared to other actors like Sunny Deol whose solo release Gadar 2 raked in Rs. 691.08 cr. followed by Salman Khan in fourth place earning Rs. 645.17 cr. from 2 releases, and Ranveer Singh coming in fifth with a collection of Rs. 355.61 cr. from 1 release.
While the gap between first and second viz. Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor is an open chasm, Animal which still continues to run in both the domestic and international markets is expected to see further growth. In fact, trade opines that the business of Animal is certain to widen the gap between second and third place.
