The Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga film, Animal, is operating at a rampage mode at the box office in India. After collecting Rs. 338.63 crore in its opening week, Animal has collected Rs. 24 crores on its second Friday, taking the All India total collection to Rs. 362 crores.
This is a record for a feature film as Animal has scored the biggest second Friday in the history of Hindi Cinema. The Ranbir Kapoor film has defeated all-time blockbusters like Pathaan [Rs. 14 cr.], Jawan [Rs. 19.10 cr.], Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion [Rs. 19.75 cr.] and Gadar 2 [Rs. 20.5 cr.], and that too by a margin of 20 percent, which speaks volumes about the kind of run the film has got at the box office.
Talking of Hindi nett, Animal has shown NO DROP in numbers on its second Friday with estimates in the range of Rs. 22 to 23 crores, taking the Hindi total to Rs. 322 crores. Even in Hindi alone, it's an all-time record for Animal in terms of numbers on the second Friday.
This is just the beginning of a record-breaking run, as Animal is all set to score even bigger records in the second weekend as well as the second week. Even the third week business is expected to be at an all-time high. Animal is the most spoken about and appreciated film of 2023 as these numbers are coming in with an A Rating and prolonged run time of 3 hours and 21 minutes. Sky's the limit and given the historic trend, the exhibitors will have no option but to allot shows to the film in the fourth weekend despite the release of Dunki & Salaar.
