There is no stopping Rustom. It is no more about the initial numbers now as the film has been accepted big time by the audience. Saturday growth followed by Sunday rampage had pretty much set the stage for Monday to accumulate more moolah. While it was a given that collections on the Independence Day would at the least match Saturday collections, the fact that it actually came in the vicinity of Sunday collections tells a lot about the manner in which this Tinu Suresh Desai directed film is finding appreciation.<BR><BR>
The film saw 19.5 crore* more coming in on Sunday and that's a great deal because it is the fourth day in theaters for Rustom. Moreover, traditionally the night shows of the day before the first working day of the month don't quite show great occupancy, due to which collections are impacted to an extent. However, that was taken care of by all the shows right till the evening where Rustom was running to wonderful capacity. After Sultan, this is the first time when back to back shows are running houseful and that's something which would have made Zee Studios and KriArj Entertainment ecstatic about the response so far. <BR><BR>
The film has collected 68.23 crore now and while it is a given that Akshay Kumar would enjoy lifetime collections better than Housefull 3 [109 crore], it has to be seen if Airlift [129 crore] would be surpassed eventually. With another holiday (albeit partial) coming up in the form of Rakhi [Thursday, 18th August], Rustom is looking at the Week One total of 90 crore here, which would be the best ever for Akshay Kumar. <BR><BR>
