Last week we saw the clash of two big ticket bollywood releases going head to head at the box office with Rustom and Mohenjo Daro hitting screens. Though Rustom took the lead over Mohenjo Daro from day one itself we decided to take a more comparative look.In this box office analysis we take a look at the opening weekend collections of Rustom and Mohenjo Daro while comparing them to the collections of previously released film in 2016. Not surprisingly here too Rustom at rank four comes in higher than Mohenjo Daro that ranks ninth. Though Rustom does not manage to out beat the collections of previous releases like Sultan that collected Rs. 180.36 cr, Housefull 3 that collected Rs. 53.31 cr and Fan that collected Rs. 52.35 cr, it does manage to surpass other films like Airlift that collected Rs. 44.3 cr, Baaghi that collected Rs. 38.58 cr, Dishoom that collected Rs. 37.32 cr and Udta Punjab that collected Rs. 33.8 cr.
Similarly, Mohenjo Daro at ninth manages to surpass films like Kapoor & Sons that collected Rs. 26.35 cr, Ki & Ka that collected Rs. 25.23 cr and Ghayal Once Again that collected Rs. 23.25 cr.
