Box Office: All India collections of The Jungle Book (English)

The much awaited film The Jungle Book (English), which had released last week, has met up with exemplary response from the cinegoers. Besides the film, even the characters' voice given by the likes of Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong'o and others have found resonance in the cinegoer's hearts. While in Hindi, it has been the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Irrfan Khan and others that have found its fans amongst the Indian cinegoers.

The first week's collections for The Jungle Book (English) have been the highest ever that a Hollywood movie has ever made at Indian Box-Office. It is not only the English version of the film that has hit the bull's eye at the Box-office, but also the Hindi as well as dubbed versions of Tamil and Telugu as well, whose culminated figures have been mentioned above. Below are notable pointers for some of the records the movie has set at the India box office.

- Highest Lifetime collections in Tamil Nadu & Kerala territory

- Highest Lifetime collections in Mysore territory

- The only film to collect 1 crore plus daily for 28 consecutive days

- The 7th day figure is even better than the opening day's collections and is a record for Hollywood films in India

- The first week's collections are highest ever for a Hollywood movies in India.

- Its weekend collections were the highest ever for a Hollywood movie in India

- What is remarkable is that the collections from all the dubbed versions in the weekend was approx. 52% whereas English version was approx. 48%

- Day 3 collections were highest for a Hollywood film in India.

- It has emerged as the highest Hollywood grosser in India eclipsing Furios 7 which had collected approx. 110 cr NETT at the India box office.

- The Jungle Book's performance is all the more impressive given the fact that it released on approx. 1,500 screens compared to the 2,800 screens Furious 7.

Latest Update: The Jungle Book has surpassed the business of Airlift and has emerged as the highest grosser of 2016 so far. Note: Hindi films. India business.
