Rohit Roy speaks on his acting, directing and production plans

Rohit Roy is one actor with loads on his hands. This year the actor has added two more feathers to his cap. He will now not only be acting but also directing and producing for films under his banner Magic Works. After his debut film Plan the actor will be seen in four new films. Delhi Heights being the first is releasing today. The film is about upper middle class couples living in a high rise building called Delhi Heights. Rohit is all excited about this film and spoke to us on his way to Delhi for the premier yesterday I am nervous, anxious and excited. I am hoping that people will like the film. The next in line is Shootout at Lokhandwala. The film is based on a true incident and has an interesting line up of actors including Rohit. According to him his character is definitely something which people have never seen him do before. I think probably this is the most interesting character and the best character I have played in my short film career. I play a character from the underworld who is a bhai. His name is Fatim and he is called Fattu by the gang because he doesnt like the sound of bullets. The other two films Alibaug and Dus Kahaniyaan are films to be made under the banner of White Feather, Sanjay Guptas production house. Dus Kahaniyaan has got 10 short stories in one film, so there are 10 films. Audiences going in for a film may be able to see 10 films. Rohit will not only be acting in one of the films for Dus Kahaniyaan, but will also be directing one of the films and co-producing a few others. In Dus Kahaniyaan, the story that I am doing is called Gubbare (Balloons). Im actually playing a very small part in it. I think its about 10 minutes. But its a very interesting film. Its got Nana Patekar, me and Anita Hasnandani (Natassha). One of the films for Dus Kahaniyaan will be directed by Rohit has a pretty unique title Rice Plate. Rice plate, yes its a pretty unique title. Also the title was given to us by Mr. Gupta himself. Rice plate is about a Hindu lady and her interaction with Muslim gentleman. Rohit sounds most excited about his third film with White Feathers Alibaug. Alibaug is a film about friends. Its about these nine friends who passed out some eight years back from college and they havent met since. Some people have been in touch, some people havent. Due to a certain reason they all get back together for a weekend. So its a story of the weekend; its a semi autobiographical. Its something about what Sanjay Gupta and his set of friends went through. Its a treat to work with someone like him. So whats happening on the production front in his production house Magic Works Right now we are part producing Dus Kahaniyaan for White Feather. So we are basically executive producers on that. Other than that we are co-producing a film which is going to be directed by a gentleman called Subroto Chaterjee. Its basically an internationally formatted film. Everybody likes to believe that they are doing something different, this is particularly different. This is basically the story of a mother and son and their volatile relationship. Apparently Rohit was planning to rope in Shabanaji for the role of the mother Well thats a wish list. There are a couple of options that we are looking at. I dont want to jump the cast. I would rather speak once we finalize the cast. Rohit is not to keen on directing for his own production house At the moment we are making films for White Feathers. I dont know if I will be directing the next film under my banner either. I rather direct for White Feathers because I dont want the headache of production when I am directing. Well this man certainly has loads on his hands. But he still continues and has already planned a sequel to Dus Kahaniyaan called Dus Kisse Dus Kisse is like a second installment, a sequel to Dus Kahaniyaan which happens at the end of the year, concludes Rohit.
