After ‘Deewaar’,it’s ‘Trishul’

Gaurang Doshi, whose second film with the Big B, DEEWAAR, opens this week, is geared up to start his next multi-starrer, titled TRISHUL.

If the old as well as the new DEEWAAR star the Big B in a stellar role, there’s a strong possibility that the new TRISHUL will also star the icon as the protagonist. Incidentally, Yash Chopra had directed both DEEWAAR and TRISHUL in the 1970s.

“There’s no conscious effort to choose the titles of Mr. Bachchan’s earlier hits,” Gaurang clarifies, “The new title [TRISHUL] suits the script of my film, hence we decided to go for it.” Incidentally, a tagline will be added to the title [for DEEWAAR, it is ‘Let’s Bring Our Heroes Home’].

Though the star cast is under finalization, TRISHUL will star the veteran along with two more heroes. “The cast will be finalized within a month from now,” Gaurang adds. To be directed by Sriram Raghavan [director of EK HASINA THI], TRISHUL will roll in October/November this year.
