Saif and two others charge sheeted in assault case

Even as the year 2012 is coming to an end with everyone all set to welcome the New Year by letting the bygones be bygones, there's one person who can't afford to say that now: Saif Ali Khan. The reason? Well, yesterday, he and two others have been charge sheeted under Section 325 (assault) and Section 34 (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC in an assault case that had taken place in February this year.

Readers may recollect that in February this year, while Saif was spending time with Kareena Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Amrita Arora, Shakeel Ladak and Bilal Amrohi (producer) at Mumbai's Taj Mahal Hotel, a certain gentleman named Iqbal Sharma (NRI businessman from South Africa) who was seated near their table, apparently asked them to make less noise. This led to a very heated argument between the duo and Saif allegedly punched him and thus fracturing his nose. Sharma, then, lodged an FIR with the local police stating the spate of incidents. That's when Saif Ali Khan, alongwith Shakeel and Bilal were arrested and granted bail immediately.
