After a wait of a year, Tadap is set to release this Friday. The film was supposed to arrive last year but due to the pandemic, producer Sajid Nadiadwala decided to hold on and bring it to theatres when the time was right. Now when the second wave has eased out, the film is all set to arrive at over 1500 screens in India.
The film is special since it marks the debut of Suniel Shetty’s son, Ahan Shetty. The hunky youngster has quite a few characteristic traits of his father, and given the kind of launchpad that he is getting with Tadap, one expects him to make a macho impression on-screen. Moreover, there is a solid team backing him up, be it director Milan Luthria or writer Rajat Arora, who has been a team behind the likes of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai or The Dirty Picture. As for the leading lady, Tara Sutaria makes for a fresh pairing with Ahan.
In pre-COVID times, the film could have easily opened anywhere in Rs. 6-8 cr. range, as was the case with other high profile debutant affairs like Student of the Year, Heropanti or Hero. However, these are different times, and considering that, even half of that with Rs. 4 cr. the opening range would be a good enough start for Tadap.
