The SS Rajamouli directed film RRR was released nearly two weeks ago, and since then the film has been raking in the moolah at both the domestic and international box office. Starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR along with special appearances from Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn, the business of RRR has been doing well. Now, nearly at the end of its second week in theatres, the business of the film at the Australian box office has managed to set a new record of sorts.
In this box office report, we look at the collections of RRR at the Australia box office while comparing the same to previous releases. Collecting A$ 3,221,184 RRR has managed to surpass the collections of Padmaavat which had collected A$ 3,163,487. With this, the SS Rajamouli directorial has now become the all-time highest grosser at the Australia box office. Besides Padmaavat, the collections of RRR have also surpassed other big-ticket releases as well like, the Aamir Khan starrer Dangal which collected A$ 2,623,780, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju which collected A$ 2,409,125, Rajamouli’s previous release Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion that collected A$ 2,407,933, PK that collected A$ 2,108,655, and Dhoom 3 that had collected A$ 1,752,845.
Currently still running in theatres, the business of RRR is expected to see further growth in collections. In fact, trade predictions state that with no new big-ticket releases the collections of RRR will see a jump in business over its third weekend.
