The Ram Charan – Jr. NTR starrer RRR directed by SS Rajamouli was released two weeks ago. Also featuring Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn the business of the film has been doing well since its release. Now, after a two week run at the box office RRR has managed to cross the Rs. 200 cr mark collecting Rs. 208.59 cr.
In this box office report, we look at the second week collections of RRR while comparing the same to previous releases. Collecting Rs. 76 cr in week 2, RRR has managed to become the 10 all-time highest second week grosser. In fact, the second week business of RRR manages to surpass the collections of previous releases like Padmaavat that collected Rs. 69.50 cr, and the Aamir Khan starrer Dhoom 3 that collected Rs. 68.33 cr. However, the collections of RRR do not surpass the business of other big-ticket releases.
Currently RRR continues to run in theatres, with little to no competition from previous and new releases, the business of the film is expected to remain steady. In fact, as per advance trade predictions, the collections of the film could even see an increase over its third weekend running.
