After much talk and equal amount of hype the biggest clash of 2015 happened on Friday with the Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer Dilwale going head tohead with the Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra starrer Bajirao Mastani. While the run up to the release of both films generated tremendous buzz for both films, their box
office collections were certainly dented due to various reasons.
However despite the setbacks and hurdles both, Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani have managed to post good Opening Day collection figures. In this box office report we compare the Opening
Day collections of Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani to those of previously released films in 2015. Interestingly Salman Khan who features two releases this year claims both the top slots
with Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Bajrangi Bhaijaan leading the pack. Dilwale that collected Rs. 21 crores comes in third. However, Bajirao Mastani comes in at number 10
collecting Rs. 12.80 crores.
