The Arjun Kapoor - Sonakshi Sinha starrer Tevar that has been much talked about released on Friday. While the film got off to a decent start, the box office collections have failed to reflect the hype that was generate around the film.
In this box office analysis, we take a look at the Opening Weekend collections of Tevar in comparison to Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha's previous releases. While for Arjun, Tevar ranks as the third highest Opening Weekend grosser collecting Rs. 22.05 crores, following his previous releases Gunday that collected Rs. 43.93 crores and 2 States that collected Rs. 38.06 crores, it does manage to surpass his other releases like Finding Fanny that collected Rs. 19.90 crores and Ishaqzaade that collected Rs. 15.91 crores.
However, for Sonakshi Sinha, Tevar ranks as the tenth Highest Grosser, being unable to match up to the collections of her previous releases like Son Of Sardaar that collected Rs. 66.02 crores, Dabangg 2 that collected Rs. 65 crores and others.
But since the film continues to run in theatres what's left to be seen is whether the collections pick up over the coming week.
