Ae Dil Hai Mushkil registered reasonably good numbers on Saturday too. The film had to stay in at least the double digit zone right through the weekend and this is what the Karan Johar film is managing in theatres. With Rs. 13.10 crore more coming in on Saturday, the film's total currently stands at Rs. 26.40 crore. In fact given the kind of controversies that the film was stuck in till 2-3 weeks back, a two day total like this would have been happily grabbed by the makers.
The film should go past the Rs. 12-13 crore mark today as well and that would allow it to stay good in contention with a total of over Rs. 35 crore. That would actually ensure that the film's weekend is amongst the Top-10 of the year so far, hence going past the likes of Udta Punjab [Rs. 33.8 crore], Dishoom [Rs. 37.32 crore] and very likely, even Baaghi [Rs. 38.58 crore]. It would be interesting to see how well these action entertainers are challenged by the musical romantic drama that Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is.
