FIR lodged against KJo and SOTY team

Karan Johar's Student Of The Year has been one of the successful films of this season. However recently, a criminal case has been registered against Karan Johar, producer Gauri Khan and others. The reason being, the makers of SOTY have been alleged to have hurt the religious feelings of people by referring to mythological figure Radha as "sexy" in a song in the film.

Apparently 'Shrivision Social Empowerment and Welfare Association', an NGO, had last month approached the court with a private complaint, alleging that a song in the film refers to the mythological figure Radha as "sexy". Following the magistrates order the local police lodged the case under section 295 (A) (hurting religious sentiments) of Indian Penal Code.
