The highlight of the shoot was that Ingrid Newkirk, PETA's founder, was personally involved in start to finish of the shoot. Not just that, she also made it a point to thank all for their contribution to animals.
The said shoot happened in Los Angeles. The USP of the shoot was that all the models, crew, photographers worked free for the love of animals. As far as Gulshan was concerned, he shot for not one, but two campaigns for PETA!
There is always a saying or a tag that precedes or supersedes any individual... and if you are in the glitzy glossy world of Bollywood, you just can't escape such tags! You have Aamir 'The Perfectionist' Khan, Tabu 'The Thinking Actress', Subhash 'The Showman' Ghai so on and so forth… But what really takes the cake is the 'ironical' man named Gulshan Grover who has started the trend of 'Being Bad is Good'. No wonder then, he is aptly called the 'Bad Man' of Bollywood!
After having debuted with the Sanjay Dutt starrer Rocky, Gulshan went on to reach dizzying heights in Bollywood. Known for his experimentations with costumes and make up, Gulshan, of late has been missing from the streets of Bollywood, as he is busy making more news on the foreign shores of Hollywood. Bollywood Hungama got an exclusive sneak peak at one such 'news', in which he is shooting for the PETA (People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals).
The first campaign that Gulshan shot for was 'Against wearing Leather' and the second campaign was 'To control the number of dogs'. Not many may be aware of the fact that, Gulshan Grover replaced the Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke, who had done this campaign earlier.
Gulshan Grover, who is a 'killer' when it comes to dialogue delivery, was again at it again, when he shot off saying 'Don't kill someone for looks… instead kill by your looks!' The message of the shoot was crystal clear, if you wear leather, an animal has to be killed for that, but, if you wear 'Pleather' (a slang term for 'synthetic leather' made of plastic), it looks the same & nobody has to be killed.
