Vikram Vedha starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan has raked up a good response in its advance booking in India. According to our tracking, the film has recorded the third biggest advance of the year after Brahmastra and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and is expected to take the third or even second-biggest start of the year. At this point in time, Vikram Vedha is flirting with an opening day around the Rs. 15 crore range, which will be a good result laying the platform to grow over the weekend.
As of Thursday, at 8.30 pm, Vikram Vedha has sold approximately 1.50 lakh tickets across India, resulting in an all-India gross in the north of Rs 3.75 crores. With three and a half hours more to go, Vikram Vedha is sure to cross the Rs. 4.25 crore mark nationwide.
The single screens will be dependent on the spot booking and walk-in audience, but given the presence of Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan, the spot bookings are expected to be better than any other Bollywood release this year apart from Brahmastra. In the national chains, the bookings are around 50,000 as of 6 pm on Thursday.
All in all, Vikram Vedha is on a decent wicket as far as advance booking is concerned. The initial industry response to the film is positive and hence, the business should just start showing good gains from Friday evening and explode in a big way on Sunday - October 2.
