The Luv Ranjan-directed romantic comedy, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has shown a stronghold in collections on its third day as according to early estimates, the movie has collected in the range of Rs. 9.75 to 10.50 crores. With this, the three-day total of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar stands at Rs. 36.25 crores, and the movie is now headed towards an extended five-day weekend around the Rs. 70 crore mark.
Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar stars Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in lead and marks the return of the rom-com com genre to the Hindi film industry after a long time. On Friday, the business went up in the national chains, but there was a nominal dip in the mass belts as expected. The numbers are good enough for a film of this genre, and it’s now about showing jumps on Saturday and Sunday.
It's now the jump on Saturday and Sunday, followed by a hold on Monday which will decide the long-term fate of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. Even at this point in time, an entry in the Rs. 100 crore club is assured, but given the star cast, content, and expectations, the hope is on Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar to do slightly closer to the Rs. 130 crore number.
