The Indra Kumar directed third instalment in the Dhamaal franchise released a while back. Featuring Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit and a host of others the film titled Total Dhamaal stormed the box office on its release. Following this, the business of the rib tickling entertainer continued to hold strong on weekdays as well.
In this box office report we take a look at the second weekend collections of Total Dhamaal while comparing the same to previous releases of 2019. Collecting Rs. 23.22 cr on its second weekend in theatres Total Dhamaal has managed to surpass the Ranveer Singh starrer Gully Boy that had raked in Rs. 18.05 cr on its second weekend to become the second highest second weekend grosser of 2019. If that wasn’t all, the business of Total Dhamaal has managed to post better second weekend collections than certain as releases as well, like Manikarnika – The Queen Of Jhansi that collected Rs. 14.35 cr, The Accidental Prime Minister that collected Rs. 2.95 cr, and Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga that had collected Rs. 1.80 cr. However, the second weekend business of Total Dhamaal does not manage to out beat the business of the Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri – The Surgical Strike that had collected Rs. 38.22 cr.
However, given the fact that Total Dhamaal still continues to find favour among the audience despite new releases hitting screens expectations are that the film will continued to draw in the audience well into its third week.
