Salman Khan starrer Tiger 3, which is the third film in the Tiger franchise, has had a winning start at the box office. The movie has registered an impressive opening of Rs. 44.50 crores in India. Bollywood Hungama has also reported that the movie has scored big even overseas by amassing $ 5 million (which includes premieres and paid previews).
While doing that, Tiger 3 has gone past the overseas opening day number of the earlier blockbusters of the year in the form of Pathaan and Jawan. The two movies, which starred Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role, scored $ 4.5 million and $ 4.78 million on its opening day in the overseas market respectively.
This is a major achievement for Tiger 3 because both Pathaan and Jawan turned out to be blockbusters. It is left to be seen if Tiger 3 continues the same momentum in the coming days and becomes as successful as the two SRK films of this year.
