Being one of most awaited releases of recent times, the film opened on a thunderous note across all markets. The domestic opening is 2.1x the opening of original Doctor Strange (85 mil. USD), 7th biggest Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) opening, 11th place all-time behind Avengers: Age of Ultron (191.2 mil. USD) and Incredibles 2 (182.6 mil. USD)
