The Ayan Mukherji directorial Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt was released last week on Friday. Touted to be one of the biggest releases of recent times, the film came with immense hopes and expectations. Living up to expectations, Brahmastra whose advance bookings opened nearly a week before release has been performing relatively well. After taking a stellar start with Rs. 36 cr. coming in on the opening day the business of the film continued to see growth on its first Saturday and Sunday.
Now on its first Monday, Brahmastra, which has already collected Rs. 120.75 cr, is expected to see a slight drop in business. Interestingly, the film has already managed to rake in over Rs. 4 cr. from advance bookings for its first Monday alone. Looking at the current trend, with the film still enthralling the audience it is expected that Brahmastra may touch double digits on Day 4 as well.
In fact, trade opines that Brahmastra, which was released across over 5,000 screens in India, is like to inch closer to the Rs. 150 cr. mark over the next couple of days. Currently, Brahmastra continues to dominate the box office, enjoying a two-week unopposed run, the overall business of the film is likely to continue seeing growth.
