Last week on Friday we saw the release of Divya Khosla Kumar's second directorial venture Sanam Re that features Pulkit Samrat, Yami Gautam and Urvashi Rautela. The film which featured amassive release across over 2000 screens, something that isn't usual for romantic films has been performing well at the box office. However there are still a few who state that the film has not
been earning much, hence in this box office report we take a look at the finances of the film and its profitability to its makers.
Made on a modest budget of Rs. 20.50 crores that includes print and publicity, Sanam Re has earned Rs. 17.05 cr over the weekend from which the distributor's share is roughly Rs. 7.67 cr.
Now add to this the earning from the sale of overseas, home video, music, digital and other ancillary rights the makers stand to make Rs. 16.50 cr, bringing total earning to Rs. 24.17 cr, which
amounts to 17.91% or Rs. 3.67 cr in profit.
