The much talked about and keenly anticipated release Brahmastra hit screens a little over a week ago, and since then there has been no stopping the Ayan Mukerji directorial. Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, the film produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions has been raking in the moolah at the box office. After opening on a good note, Brahmastra which released across over 5000 screens in India, saw immense growth in collections over its opening weekend.
Following this, the business of the film continues to remain stable over its first week, managing to cross both the Rs. 100 cr. and Rs. 200 cr. mark. Collecting Rs. 208 cr. in just 10 days of its release Brahmastra which has become one of the fastest films of recent times to enter the Rs. 200 crore club, has become filmmaker Karan Johar’s second venture to achieve this feat. In fact, collecting Rs. 240.32 cr. Simmba which hit screens in 2018 was Karan’s first debut in the Rs. 200 cr. club, with Brahmastra becoming his second production venture to achieve this feat.
Currently, Brahmastra still continues to entice the audience while dominating the box office window. In fact, with little to no competition, the film is expected to see its collections grow even further. Going by the current trend, if Brahmastra maintains its box office momentum, the business of the film is likely to draw near if not cross the Rs. 250 cr. mark by the end of its second week running.
