The Milan Luthria directed film Baadshaho that featured Ajay Devgn alongside an ensemble cast comprising of Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta, Ileana D’Cruz and Vidyut Jammwal released a week ago. After opening on a good note the film continued to dominate in mass sectors posting rather good collections figures.
Now at close of its first week in theatres we take a look at the collections of Baadshaho while comparing the same to Ajay Devgn’s previously released films. Collecting Rs. 64.14 cr Baadshaho ranks as the actor’s fifth highest opening week grosser. Though the collections of the film do not out beat Ajay Devgn’s previous releases like Singham Returns that collected Rs. 112.68 cr, Son Of Sardaar that collected Rs. 83.25 cr, Shivaay that collected Rs. 70.41 cr, and Bol Bachchan that collected Rs. 66.72 cr, the collections of Baadshaho does manage to surpass his other films like Golmaal 3 that collected Rs. 62.19 cr, Satyagraha that collected Rs. 55.43 cr, Singham that collected Rs. 51.25 cr, and Action Jackson that collected Rs. 45.16 cr.
However, with new releases hitting screens this week Baadshaho that still continues to retain a good hold over single screen going audience in mass dominated sectors is expected to continue its run though at a diminished rate.
