It has been a week since the Milan Luthria directed film Baadshaho hit screens. Starring Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta, Ileana D’Cruz and Vidyut Jammwal the film has been doing very well at the box office since its release.
In this special report we take a look at the opening week collections of Baadshaho while comparing the same to the previous releases of 2017. Collecting Rs. 64.14 cr Baadshaho has become the eighth highest opening week grosser of the year so far. Though the film does not manage to beat previous releases like Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion that collected Rs. 247 cr, Raees that collected Rs. 118.36 cr, Tubelight that collected Rs. 106.86 cr, Toilet - Ek Prem Katha that collected Rs. 96.05 cr, Kaabil that collected Rs. 82.18 cr, Jolly LLB 2 that collected Rs. 77.71 cr, and Badrinath Ki Dulhania that collected Rs. 73.66 cr. The collections of Baadshaho does manage to surpass other releases like the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal that collected Rs. 59.65 cr, Half Girlfriend that collected Rs. 49.19 cr, and Jagga Jasoos that collected Rs. 33.17 cr.
Given that Baadshaho still continues to retain a good hold over single screen going audience in mass dominated sectors all that remains to be seen now is whether the film becomes one of the highest grosser of 2017 in the coming week.
