The Salman Khan – Katrina Kaif starrer Bharat released last week on Wednesday and since then the film has been doing roaring business at the box office. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar the film which released across 4000 screens in the domestic market and 1250+ screens in the overseas markets has fast become of the biggest money spinners of the year. Now, after its five day extended opening weekend in theatres the business of Bharat has managed to eclipse the collections of certain other releases, by collecting a staggering Rs. 238.26 cr gross at the worldwide box office.

Not surprisingly, Bharat that has been one of the most anticipated releases has managed to surpass the lifetime collections of certain films within just six days. With its total worldwide gross box office collections pegged at Rs. 238.26 cr Bharat has become the second highest worldwide grosser of 2019, preceded only by Uri – The Surgical Strike that had collected Rs. 336.97 cr gross.

Currently, Bharat still run in theatres and remains as the audience’s first choice. Given this fact, expectations are that the business of the film will see an increase. Now all that remains to be seen is whether the overall collections of Bharat eventually surpass the business of Uri – The Surgical Strike to become the highest worldwide grosser of 2019.
