In this edition of Box Office Report Card we compare the Shah Rukh Khan- Deepika Padukone starrer Chennai Express with Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots . While the latter whose record of highest box office collection was recently broken by the former, we take a look at the week by week break down in terms of collections of both the films.
Taking into consideration each week's collections, we compared both films success ratio within the domestic market only. Interestingly, while Chennai Express notched a much higher Opening Week accumulating Rs. 156.7 crore, 3 Idiots garnered just Rs. 79.07.
Though ultimately thanks to the massive opening boost, Chennai Express has broken 3 Idiots record, weeks two and three clearly feature 3 Idiots receiving much higher collections.
