One stud and two beauty queens - this sums up the starcast of Andaaz which is produced by Akhsay's current favourite
Suneel Durshan and directed by Raj Kanwar. Combination of Akshay and Suneel may have recently delieved a dud - Talaash
but their association has also come up with trumps like Jaanwar and Ek Rishta!! Suneel Darshan stays as a producer but Raj
Kanwar, who off late has not been in a very good form ( remember the debacle of Ab Ke Baras ?), is at the director's helm !!

'Punjabi munda' Akshay Kumar with two 'punjabi kudis' - Miss World Priyanka Chopra and Miss Universe Lara Dutta !! World
wouldn't have been a better place to live in. A casting coup of sorts, this itself can be one of the USPs of the movie. Add to it
the compositions by Nadeem Shravan and Sameer that always delivers when the movie has romance as a backdrop, and you
have a winner in hands!!
So here we have 'Kisise Tum Pyaar Karo' by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik giving an auspicious beginning to the first music
album from Suneel Darshan's home music company - Shree Krishna Audio. A romantic melody that talks about getting in love
and expressing it to your beloved, before it gets too late. A good number, there is a doubt that it's start sounds a bit like
'Thoda Sa Pyaar Hua Hai' from Sohail Khan's 'Maine Dil Tujhko Diya'. Though the similarities end here !! Kumar Sanu croons
'Kitna Paagal Dil Hai' which is again a melodious number about love, it's sweetness, pain and bitterness. A mix of almost
everything !! A good track worth listening which is repeated again as a solo by Alka Yagnik.
After two songs encouraging you to fall in love, pessimism arrives with 'Allah Kare Dil Na Lage Kisise' and 'Rabba Ishq Naa
Hove'. 'Allah Kare' sung by Alka Yagnik and Sonu Nigam has the lyrics which are straight out of Atta-Ullah-Khan's 'Ye Dhoke
Pyaar Ke Dhoke - Kisise Koyi Pyaar Na Kare' from 'Bewafa Sanam'. Though credit must definitely go to Nadeem Sharvan also
for churning out a number whose composition is different at least from the original. A typical Nadeem Shravan composition.
'Rabba Ishq Na Hove' is diagrammatically opposite to 'Kisise Tum Pyaar Karo'. A qawaali (that has become so common in
Nadeem Shravan's albums now), it tells about the pain that comes with love and hence advises never to fall in love. An average
track, it's arrangements bear slight resemblance to 'Ishq Mein Jab Dil' from Dil Ka Rishsta.
Romance is back with 'Aaj Kehna' sung by ever fresh Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. Love blooms again with two hearts
meeting and expressing love for each other. A good track. 'Aayega Maza Ab Barsaat Ka' is a sensual number with regular
Nadeem Shravan's drum beats. It has the lovey dovey couple getting drenched in rain and getting all the 'obvious' ideas.
Just when we have been missing Shaan by now, he teams up with Alka Yagnik for 'Shala La Baby'. The only composition in
the western mould, it has a very average lyrics like 'Aankhon Se Neende Churata Hai - Mujhko Bada Tadpaata Hai' and stuff
alike. An obvious item number, though it may not be a chartbuster, it does have a potential to be popular.
One thing observed is that the word 'andaaz' appears in most of the tracks. Looks like a purposeful inclusion this one !!

The good thing about Nadeem Sharavan is that they stick to their style (that have been paying them dividends) instead of trying
to be forcefully 'different' like their other contemporaries. This is the reason why when you hear their music, is has more of their
stamp rather than the movie's director or the image of the starcast.
If you have been liking Nadeem Shravan for all these years then you will like this one too.
A good album worth a buy !!
