Javed Akhtar advised Vivek Sharma to change the climax of his film Bhootnath since he believed there could be a sequel to the film. Vivek had earlier planned a very emotional and sad ending for the film. The climax was reshot from a sad ending where Bhootnath leaves, to a very happy one where Bhootnath reappears.
