The much talked about and keenly anticipated Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal finally hits screens today. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal, which also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandana, has been making waves since the release of its first look. Now after immense promotions and insane hype the film, which has also enjoyed a wide rate of advance bookings hits screens with plenty of expectations attached. Living up to the same Animal has opened on a fabulous note.
Based on reports, Animal has opened to a roaring start with occupancy over morning and afternoon shows pegged at over 80%. The already high occupancy rate is expected to see even further growth with evening and night shows going houseful. This massive start to Animal is being attributed to the fact that the audience has eagerly been awaiting the release of the film, and the fact that Animal offers viewers a divergent story from the usual Bollywood release.
Furthermore while the audience are still in awe of Ranbir’s electrifying transformation as a man possessed, by his obsessive love for his father, played by Anil Kapoor, trade reports state that from urban centres to mass pockets, Animal has taken the lead at the box office. In fact, evening in multiplexes, single screens, Tier-1, Tier-2, and Tier-3 centres, from East to West and from North to South, Animal mania seems to have gripped the audience.
Currently, Animal that has started with a bang is sure to emerge as Ranbir Kapoor’s all-time highest opening-day grosser. Based on trade reports and the current box office trend Animal could see its opening day collections near the Rs. 50 cr. mark. If that was not enough, given the fact that Animal continues to see booking soar for its opening weekend, predictions state that the business of the film is sure to skyrocket over its first Saturday and Sunday.
