The film which released across 4000 screens in the domestic market was welcomed with open arms by the audience. After opening on a high note the business of War, which was touted to be 2019’s biggest action entertainer witnessed good rate of collections as the days progressed.
In this box office report we take a look at the opening weekend collections of War while comparing the same to Hrithik Roshan’s previous releases. Collecting a staggering Rs. 166.25 cr War has far surpassed the business of Bang Bang that had collected Rs. 94.13 cr to become Hrithik Roshan’s highest opening weekend grosser. If that wasn’t all, War that enjoyed an extended five day weekend has recorded far better collections than Hrithik’s other releases as well like, Krrish 3 that collected Rs. 72.8 cr, Agneepath that collected Rs. 67.50 cr, Kaabil that collected Rs. 67.46 cr, Super 30 that collected Rs. 50.76 cr, Mohenjo Daro that collected Rs. 30.55 cr, Kites that collected Rs. 30.50 cr, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara that collected Rs. 28.25 cr, and Guzaarish that collected Rs. 15 cr.
Currently War, continues to run in theatres, with certain locations increasing the number of shows of the film. Coupled with this is the fact that War enjoys a competition free run for the next week and is expected to continue to rake in the moolah. In fact, predictions state that the film is likely to cross the Rs. 200 cr mark in the next few days.
