Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has done really well in the second week with close to Rs. 47.45 crores more coming in. This is, in fact, one of the best second weeks for a big film post-pandemic and from the sheer hold perspective, it’s the best, in fact, as the drop is by mere 35%. The film has been holding really well since the growth that was seen in the first weekend and ever since there has been a steady inflow of audiences on a daily basis.
Yes, given the kind of momentum which is on the film’s side, it was expected that Wednesday and Thursday too would be in Rs. 4 crores range. However, the numbers came to Rs. 3.90 crores and Rs. 3.20 crores respectively. This too is, in fact, good but then it was a matter of higher expectations. That said, the hold has been overall quite strong which has pushed the total to Rs. 120.78 crores.
With that, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has now crossed the entire lifetime collections of Goliyon Ki Raas Leela: Ram Leela in just two weeks, hence emerging as Ranveer Singh’s fifth biggest grosser ever in India.
This is how the lifetime collections of Ranveer Singh’s Rs. 100 Crore Club films look like:
Padmaavat – Rs. 302.15 crores
Simmba – Rs. 240.31 crores
Bajirao Mastani – Rs. 188 crores
Gully Boy – Rs. 140 crores
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani – Rs. 120.78 crores
Ram Leela – Rs. 118.70 crores
‘83 – Rs. 109.02 crores
In fact, the lifetime of ‘83 was crossed earlier this week itself and the next big target is Gully Boy, which should be surpassed inside third week. However, that would be the last big milestone for Ranveer Singh as Bajirao Mastani would be out of reach. Still, the Karan Johar film would conclude as an overall happy affair for the actor.
