First week has come to a close for Raja Shivaji and the film has concluded that on a high. After bringing in Rs. 12.40 crores on Friday, which was a state holiday at Maharashtra - the target territory for the film - the film ended up bringing in over Rs. 4 crores more on Thursday. This is a good hold in collections and what’s important is that Rs. 4 crores mark has continued to be breached right till the close of week.

With Rs. 4.40 crores coming in, the film is now stepping into the second week on a high. Since there is no major competition either in Marathi or Hindi this weekend, the Riteish Deshmukh led multi-starrer affair will have another solid week. In fact, it would be wonderful if Rs. 4 crores mark is breached all over again on Friday, though that would be difficult since now the major market for the film is the Marathi version, and that segment should see further momentum on Saturday.
Nonetheless, as long as Rs. 3.50 crores or more comes in, the film will be on the right track since that would ensure a weekend of over Rs. 12 crores. Raja Shivaji has already collected Rs. 57.70 crores and good numbers over the second weekend will take it towards the Rs. 70 crores mark. There are hardly any Marathi films that have done this kind of business in their lifetime and here we are talking about some of the biggest records that this biggest film ever from the regional industry is aiming for.
