It seems like the pan-India release Pushpa – The Rise – Part 1 is going to be unstoppable at the box office. While the Allu Arjun starrer has been raking in the moolah down south the Hindi version of the film has been doing rather well for itself. Despite the competition from the major Hollywood blockbuster Spider-Man: No Way Home, Pushpa has managed to hold steady at the box office. In fact, after a slow start, the business of the film has been seeing considerable growth as the days progressed.
Now, after drawing in Rs. 11.84 cr over its opening weekend, Pushpa – The Rise has managed to see a good rate of collections on its first Monday as well. Drawing in a further Rs. 4.25 cr on Day 4, which is incidentally higher than its first and second-day collections the business of Pushpa has been propelled by mass-dominated sectors and single screens. Despite Maharashtra still featuring a 50% occupancy pandemic protocol, the business of the film has been seeing a positive trend.
Going forward, trade predicts that Pushpa – The Rise could well see its first week collections hovering around the Rs. 25 cr mark. However, with Matrix: Resurrection and the Ranveer Singh starrer 83 set to release it remains to be seen whether the business of Pushpa will be affected and by how much.
