It is not even the start of the festive season and yet the box office has been ringing like it’s a call for something bigger and better right up there. While Spider-Man: No Way Home and Pushpa: The Rise enjoyed a fabulous weekend, to begin with, what happened on Monday was all the more exciting as that has further confirmed the super hit status (at the minimum) for both the biggies.
Let’s talk about Spider-Man: No Way Home, the film had scored a big century in its first four days itself, and then all eyes were on whether the momentum would continue well enough to help it earn a slot in the Rs. 200 Crore Club. Well, if they hold on Monday is any indication then that’s definitely on the anvil. The film brought in Rs. 12.10 crores more and that has pushed the collections to Rs. 120.47 crores. That’s quite impressive for the Hollywood superhero entertainer and with the Christmas season arriving this weekend, expect the holds to continue well.
While the collections so far have been superb, it remains to be seen whether the overall business of the film is affected by the release of the two new ventures. With Matrix: Resurrection and the Ranveer Singh starrer 83 slated to be released later this week, both previous releases might see a decline in business.
